The Rugby Klub Bratislava has played in Vienna on Saturday 13rd October 18, against the Rugby Club Donau Wien, B-team.
Our squad has improved significantly, and globally our cohesion was a way better giving hard time to the RC Donau. Thanks to a good recruitment last summer time, we can play to a different level this season in Austria.
Our line out was pretty efficient, despite missing couple of players absent that day. Our back line is still average, with forwards giving a hand to complete couple of missing positions. However, our defense was strong, and we were able to keep the ball couple of phases. Unfortunately, after a turn over, the RC Donau has scored three easy tries after a solo run of 50m. I personally consider the number 14 of the RC Donau the best player of the match, and it was his first rugby match ever, impressive.
Our squad is getting bigger, but we are still working to get a better bench, when our very dedicated RKB players can’t hardly run 80 mn. However, our spirit is amazing and friendly.
Great mention to our trainers Zulf and Richy, leading the senior squad in the right way.
We have appreciated the level of referring, the fair play of RC Donau as usual, and the nice third half with a lot of beers and a good meal. It’s always a pleasure to play against the RC Donau, and to come in Vienna. Next match against them would be at the end of November, at home.
