Nádherná letná sobota 9.júla,2016 priam vyzývala k nejakej pohybovej aktivite. Jednou z alternatív bolo aj plážové rugby.

V žlinskom Extreme parku sa odohral turnaj v tomto športe, tentokrát s prívlastkom “federálny” – štyri slovenské teamy (Slovan Bratislava, RKB Bratislava,RUC Piešťany a domáci Žilina Rugby Bears) a jeden český (ARC Iuridica Praha).

Náš klub sa zhostil tejto úlohy celkom dobre. Napokon ho reprezentovali “až” 4 hráči RKB. Keďže je rugby šport teamový a férový a malá rugbyová rodina si vzájomne pomáha, tak Žilinčania a Piešťanci nám pomohli s pár hráčmi. Je smutné, že ešte pár dní pred turnajov nás bolo oveľa viac, ktorí sa vyjadrili, že pôjdu.

Napriek týmto “problémom” sme sa prebojovali až do vyraďovacích súbojov a nakoniec sme skončili na 4.mieste.Víťami sa stali rugbisti z Prahy.

Pre účastníkov to bolo skvele strávený deň a takisto veľká vďaka žilinským organizátorom za akciu, pohostenie a výbornú atmosféru.
Pevne veríme, že to nebol posledný turnaj.

What to do during beautiful sunny summer day as Saturday July 2016 was ? Beach rugby was one of the many options.

In Zilina Extreme Park one Beach rugby tournament was held. This year with “federal” attribute – 4 Slovak teams( Slovan Bratislava, RKB Bratislava,RUC Piešťany and home team Zilina Bears) and one team from Czech republic (ARC Iuridica Praha) were competing for the Cup. Our club RKB, tried to do at its best with 4 players only. As rugby is a team and fair sport – our “little” rugby family helped us with some players (Zilina and Piestany). Well, it’ s a bit sad, that just couple days ago, there were more players who indicated to play at that tournament.

Despite these “difficulties” we qualified to play off roud and finaly we were placed on the 4-th place.
It was a great day for us and also big thanks to Zilina organisers for this happening, refreshment and good atmosphere.
