Training Session Plan
1. Warm-Up
- Begin with dynamic stretching.
- Complete:
- 10 push-ups (or as many as each player can comfortably manage)
- 10 sit-ups (or as many as each player can comfortably manage)
- 10 pull-ups (or as many as each player can comfortably manage)
2. Tackling Skills
- Focus primarily on tackling technique and safe body position.
- Practice side-to-side tackling drills.
3. Speed & Agility Drill
- Set up markers in a side-to-side pattern.
- Players run around the markers before making a tackle to improve footwork, speed, and agility.
4. Keeping the Ball Alive
- Split players into two teams.
- One team uses tackle pads and works to stop the attacking team’s passing.
- The attacking team aims to keep the ball moving through continuous passing while avoiding being stopped by the defenders.
