Rugby Klub Bratislava privítal na svojom ihrisku francúzskeho suseda z Viedne, Stade de Vienne.
Išlo o prípravný zápas. Stade de Vienne prišlo s plnou zostavou plus náhradníkmi, RKB ako vždy nemalo dostatok hráčov a tak sme sa museli posilniť hráčmi z Piešťan a Žiliny.
Prvých 60 minút sa hralo vo vysokom tempe. Stade de Vienne boli ešte v lepšej forme ako vlani, keď sme proti nim hrali vo Viedni. Ich útok bol veľmi efektívny, presný a rýchly. Nedokázali sme sa vyrovnať s ich rýchlosťou a tak sa po 60 minútach dohodlo, žeposledných 20 minút premiešame tímy, aby bola hra spravodlivejšia – tak ako vlani v Rakúsku.
Som vďačný Pascalovi, prezidentovi SdV a Julienovi, trénerovi seniorského tímu, ktorí tento zápas umožnili. Sme partnermi už 3 roky. Hoci v Bratislave sa každú sezónu trápime s tým, že nedokážeme hrať na rovnakej úrovni, ako viedenský tím, sú dostatočne ústretovía majú pochopenie a dokážu sa prispôsobiť situácii. Boli by sme radi, ak by s takým prístupom stretli pri každom podujatí.
Po zápase sme privítali našich hostí na tradičnom treťom polčase s občerstvením a jedlom a budeme v peknom spomínať na atmosféru, v ktorej sa naše stretnutie odohralo.

The Rugby Klub Bratislava has received his French neighbor the Stade de Vienne
It was a XV preparation match. The Stade de Vienne came with a proper squad plus bench, whistle RKB was short as usual and could rely on reinforcement from Piestany and Zilina.
The first 60 mn was in such high pace, Stade de Vienne was more impressive than the first time we have played against, in Vienna last year. However, their backrow and back line was terrible efficient, precise, and fast. We couldn’t catch with the speed, and fairly, at the 60′, we have decided to fully mixed the last 20 mn for a fair gameplay between the two teams, as it was set back in Austria.
I should be grateful to Pascal, President, and to Julien trainer of the senior squad Vienna, who made this event possible. We are partners for 3 years now, even so in Bratislava we are struggling every season to compete at the same level as Vienna ; but they are kind and gentlemen enough to understand and adapt to the situation – and we have wished every single event should be like that, not taking RKB as a pushing bag.
At the end, we have welcomed our host to a traditional third half, with some food and refreshment, and the greatest memory was the good spirit.
